Ice Cream Maker Salutes Natick Ben & Jerry’s as Operator of the Year

The gathering brought together exceptional franchise owners, operators, managers and staff from across the country and around the world.BURLINGTON, Vt. -- Lars Mohlin’s Facebook page describes his Ben & Jerry’s store as “The Best Ice Cream Store in the World!!!” This week, the company agreed. Ben & Jerry’s headquarters proudly recognized Sudbury residents Lars and Anneli Mohlin, owners of the Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop at 1265 Worcester Road in Natick, as the best operator of the year. Co-Founders Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield presented the “Big O” achievement to the Mohlins at the company’s Global Franchise Community Gathering in front of hundreds in the company’s franchise community.Yummy Yorkshire Ice Cream is known for its innovative flavours, recently creating a selection of Bonfire Night-inspired recipes such as Cinder Toffee and Parkin.The company has introduced four new flavours especially for the festive season - and is convinced they will prove a hit with customers at its ice cream parlour in Denby Dale."We always have a queue out of the door on Christmas Eve," says Louise Holmes, who is responsible for ice cream production.The meeting is designed to help recharge the batteries of those who are involved with the Scoop Shops. The community shares best-case practices between peers from across the state or the globe. “Each franchisee has particular strengths that they bring to the table, so it's a great time to share and listen,” Lars said.The flavours are Rich Christmas Cake, Chocolate Orange, White Chocolate with Cranberries and Cranachan - a traditional Scottish dessert of honey, whisky, raspberry and oats.
